Package Empowers Hyatt Place™ Brand
Hyatt Place™, Global Hyatt Corporation’s
Innovative Brand, Deploys MSI’s Leading-Edge Technology Package
PHOENIX — MAY 14, 2007 — Multi-Systems Inc. (MSI), a technology leader
supplying integrated property management systems for the lodging industry,
announces WinPM as the technology hub for all Hyatt Place properties.
Hyatt Corporation SVP Jim Abrahamson said, “Hyatt Place is built for

especially technologically savvy so it was crucial for Hyatt Place to
provide technological solutions that complemented our service platform and
MSI was a perfect match.”
The newest aspect of MSI’s leading edge technology package includes the
addition of a point of sale application, Place Point™. Designed
specifically to meet the needs of Hyatt Place’s unique 24-hour food
availability, Place Point boasts two hybrids, including: Self Service and
Retail. The Self-Service module allows hotel guests to select menu items
through touch screen technology and settle charges directly to the guest
folio by swiping their room key or settle directly with a credit card. The
order is then sent to a remote printer in the kitchen area. The Retail
solution allows the Gallery Hosts the ability to settle transactions for
guests at the counter.
Place Point™ is fully integrated with MSI’s WinPM product that is used by
all newly converted Hyatt Place properties. With Gallery Hosts already
comfortable with WinPM, the addition of Place Point™ seamlessly supports
the needs of the food and beverage operation.

and staff an intuitive, efficient and contemporary food and beverage

Additional MSI Technology will be found throughout the entire Gallery area
including an interface between WinPM and the guest registration kiosks,
providing seamless check in and check out ability for hotel guests. A
two-way central reservation connection exists for each Hyatt Place. In
addition, WinPM provides functionality to accommodate guests who can now
use their Gold Passport cards at Hyatt Place
