Description |
| A Quality Assurance Analyst is
responsible for executing test plans/cases, reporting and
documenting product failures, and ensuring product accuracy. |
|
Responsibilities |
Execution of test plans and scripts for software releases
of all MSI products.
Set up tests on diverse network platforms and operating system
environments.
Test new hardware in association with MSI products.
Test new software loads for all MSI applications.
Document and communicate software defects and findings.
Research, document and resolve customer escalations for CAC, 2nd
Level, and Product Management for all MSI software applications.
Assist with testing of applications involving configuration changes to
MSI platforms and product.
Maintain project status with QA Team Lead and Product Director
throughout the test process.
Assist Level II testers with test case creation based upon
requirements as needed. |

Requirements |
Basic understanding of QA documentation, process flow,
testing methodologies, system development lifecycle, and defect
tracking.
Ability to work independently or within a team.
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to handle busy environment with tight deadlines and set
priorities.
Ability to think critically and engage in complex and detailed test
scenarios.
Organized, detail oriented and thorough.
Knowledge of hotel operations.
Responsive to new challenges and open to learning.
Understanding of basic networking components.
Willing to work occasional overtime or weekends in order to meet
project deadlines.
Occasional travel may be required.
Knowledge of CRS systems helpful, but not required.
Knowledge of Credit Card Settlement systems helpful, but not required
Effectively manage time in executing test scripts within communicated
schedule.
Proactively update management on progress and roadblocks.
Follow communication guidelines between operational groups ensuring
that departments work together in a spirit of cooperation.
Learn to effectively write testing scripts based on specifications and
industry knowledge.
Work with internal departments to reduce the overall defect counts. |
